Prizes

Richland Gives 2016 will offer incentives to inspire donors and organizations to participate in the excitement. Thanks to the generosity of donors at the Richland County Foundation, incentives will be awarded as grants to participating organizations, beyond what they raise from online donations.

A $1,000 grant to the first 40 nonprofit organizations that raise at least $1,000 online via the Richland Gives website on November 29, 2016, between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.

A $500 grant to the first 10 organizations that increase Richland Gives online donations by 30% compared to 2015. To be eligible, a nonprofit must have raised at least $500 in 2015 during Richland Gives to participate in this grant offering.

Small Nonprofit Leaderboard - Budgets under $249,000

  • 1st: $1,500
  • 2nd: $500

Rules

Donors Rules

Any individual may donate. Donations through Richland Gives 2016 are received by Razoo Foundation, a 501c3 organization and then granted to the designated nonprofits. Donations designated to nonprofit organizations, fiscally sponsored organizations, registered public schools, and tax-exempt religious organizations are 100% tax-deductible and irrevocable. Donations will not be refunded. Donations may only be made via credit or debit card. Checks are not accepted since this is an online giving event only.

Minimum donation: The minimum donation is $10.00. There is no maximum donation.

This is a 12-hour giving event, so donations must be received no later than 7 p.m. on November 29, 2016 to count toward totals to determine prizes.

Challenge/matching grants offered by a nonprofit organization that serve as a match for Richland Gives 2016 day are not included in the totals.

Nonprofit Rules

To participate, a 501c3 nonprofit organization must have its primary office based in Richland County Foundation, Ohio or primarily serve Richland County Foundation Ohio residents.

Only IRS registered 501c3 nonprofit organizations, fiscally sponsored organizations, registered public schools, and tax-exempt religious organizations are eligible to participate in Richland Gives 2016 to receive donations and prize grants. Please note that private non-operating foundations are not eligible to participate. For an organization to participate, they must register with Richland Gives 2016.
